The Society of Light and Lighting
2021 - 2024
In 2021, I assumed the responsibility for designing and producing Light Lines, a 16-page litho-printed document. This self-cover, saddle-stitched publication, printed on 115gsm mango silk paper stock, is inserted into the CBISE Journal for distribution. While adhering to an established design and house style, my primary focus revolves around layout, editorial design and project management, ensuring the publication is designed, printed and delivered to distributors on time and within deadline.
Maintaining a close working relationship with the Society of Light and Lighting, I have consistently contributed to the design and production of Light Lines for three years. The production process involves collaborative efforts with the editor to develop schedules and flat plans. Upon finalising these, and once content is provided, I proceed to design and layout the publication. Print-ready artwork is then delivered to the printers, and a digital version is uploaded to a third-party service for sharing on the Society of Light and Lighting's social media channels.
Throughout my tenure with the SLL, I have successfully designed 16 separate issues, each with an average print run of 2500 copies per edition.
